            CarboRS2,

Lovely car, showing no ill effects from salt or rain.

You have got it to a very desireable condition. Enjoy the lust.

No connection to Prj, but if he is coming to Barcelona, you should definitely take the opportunity to have him live map your car.

Look up Ross's recent posts and others comments regarding his work.

Thanks for sharing and welcome, plenty of info here, and now some additional photos.

            Kind regards.

Guys, let's not make this a sales pitch. I thought I'd just casually chime in... thanks for the compliments, but let's just stick to making compliments to the topic starter's very fine car.

The last pictures are amazing, very nice attention to detail.
I know exactly how you feel about finally getting your dream car, after waiting for so long

As you point there's no signal of rust. Even underneath. It's been always in Spain and it barely snows here so never have salt on roads or such things related to cold weather.

Ok, it seems you all have remapped your cars.
Since I had a bad experience I'd like to balance pro & cons about remap.

I'm not really looking for great power. It's already a fast car. I want to keep the car for many years so keeping safety modes is important to me.

Everything is stock in my car. I fitted again new original turbo and manifold.

What's the power it can reach but keeping safety modes?
                      Does it reduces consumption?
                      Does it reduces turbo lag?
                      Does it increase rev range?
                      How much is it?

                      Please give your opinion.
And many thanks to all for your compliments to my car

                        Hi CarboRS2! Saludos from Portugal.
I have a RS2 just like that. Even the colour is the same.
Mine is also standard, but it’s always interesting to ear some other opinions.

If anyone wants to answer your questions it wills also helping me to know more about remapping.

With the stock injectors and FPR, about 360-370hp.
                          Does it reduces consumption?
                          A little bit, yes.
                          Does it reduces turbo lag?
Not really. A small reduction due to more timing, but also a small increase, because stock it runs 1.4 bar, and remapped it is usually good to run around 1.8.
                          Does it increase rev range?
If you mean the rev limiter, then that can be changed to any value you like. On stock RS2 turbo no point to raise it though.
If you mean the useful powerband, then yes, somewhat.
                          How much is it?
For a live tuning session I usually charge 300 EUR.

So here you go, hope you got answers to some of your questions
I am flying to Spain this Thursday, and I am taking all my tuning kit with me, so let me know if you want it live mapped.

                              Hola Carbo, que bonito coche!

You don't see many like that in these parts.....no rust or grime to speak of and certainly none of that firkin salt. That looks like an S2 wheel and was one of the reasons I bought a pre-airbag model....I'd keep it if I were you.

                              Look forward to more pictures

                              Adios!

                                Hola Pedro.

I've checked your profile to see some pictures and found your youtube videos.
I see you enjoy in the track. I still haven't tried mine in a track.

                                Obrigado!
