Thats the thing with S2's now there worth next to nothing unless your into them.

I think we may have reached the bottom now, they are getting rare and anybody who really knows cars has at least a respect for them.

Could they reach the nostalgic respect levels of Mk1/MK2 escorts and golfs etc, I doubt it. But they certainly have respect among people in the know.

I promise you Ill never sell mine

I fell in love when i bought my first 3b many years ago , it sheered the woodruff key on the way home and was off the road for my first 3 months of ownership , after rebuilding it with some major help from this site I got to drive it for about 3 months before i had to watch some *** hole drive it off my driveway at 2am , it was never recovered and ive wanted another s car since :-(

I've been keeping an eye on this for 2 months now (it's been on ebay at least that long).

The missus says if it drops to £3,500 then I can go for it.

It looks like a bargain for £4k.

                      Thats the spirit.

Seriously though I would aim to buy some time soon.

The dogs will be scraped to keep the good ones going, thats started to happen already.

Buy one and treasure it, there value can ultimately only go up in my humble opinion.

But if your like me you will never sell it, so in that respect it has no value

                      cheers

I have seen so many postings recently about these cars being broken and sold for spares that I would tend to agree. They must be getting quite rare. The same thing happened with the e30 m3s. I will never sell my rs2!

The color (not to my taste) will add a somewhat to the value, very popular.

But I think at 4k at a dealer i.e you could probable negotiate them down a little it is defiantly worth a look.

Everybody knows the avants are better in every way, but a coupe can be a good step on they way to "rare" greatness
