              Ok, quick update.

Had 'pinky' (new affectionate name for her lol) up on a ramp yesterday to have a quick look around. List so far:

Bushes on ARB's (front & rear) perished/cracked, will replace all bushes as matter of course.
              Rear diff weeping some oil
              Top mounts need replacing
Rocker cover gasket slightly 'wet', small oil leak
Hole in mid section of exhaust (sh*t aftermarket one anyway)
              New brake fluid reservoir needed
              New rear brake lines needed
New 'inner' radiator needed, repair to the top nut done badly.
              New rear wheel bearings required.
              New battery.

So all in all, pretty much remedial work really. Was going to get new suspension anyway, so will do top mounts at same time, and will probably get new ARB's while I am there. Will get all the above done first then start to look at interior issues, mainly just a new drivers seat needed, rest will clean up or is serviceable.

I have made a decision to just get a S2/RS2 front bumper, and possibly rear bumper, other than that I made the choice to keep the rest 'standard'. I will keep the old bumpers though as it would appear a 'bog standard' car will be a better investment for future resale values.

Will have to wait for a while now though, wife is finally speaking to me again but dont want to pi*s her off again with a list of parts lol. So I will crack on with what I can do for 'free', and then in a few weeks look at sorting out suspension first, then the rest. Ideally, I would like to get the engine stripped down, acid bath the manifolds/rocker cover and generally tidy up the engine bay, mechanically the engine is sound, just like the rest of the car though, a bit 'tatty' due to lack of care/cleaning.

ok i am after some advice from you helpful bunch.

I am going to be looking at getting some of the above parts sourced, and would like, if any of you know, to get 'word of mouth' recommendations on places to buy from. Ideally I would like to coilovers, so where would be the best place to go to that you guys can recommend?, ditto for the rest of the bits and bobs suspension wise (bushes, ARB's etc). I dont want to make a 'track car', but would like to update it a bit, so polybushes would be the way ill go.

If you know of any other suppliers that are good and stock the parts for these, then any shouts would be great, I tried the usual outlets that I buy stuff for the RS6 from, but they dont really cater for the 'classic' market (as one of those suppliers phrased it!).

I have seen a few odds & sods on ebay, so will keep an eye out there, but preferably I would rather buy from a proper retailer as if I need to return stuff, the whole experience is less of a drama.

Thanks in advance for any tips you can share.
