  • Which car would you sell out of this lot?

Bought an A4 B5 S4 avant a couple of days ago and I think it's awesome. Problem we have 3 cars now:

A4 b6 Quattro 1.8t avant (wife drives this)
    RS2
    and the S4 B5 Avant.

Which one would you get rid of?

Some pictures of the S4 Avant

It was abvious to me! The A4 B6 1.8T has to go and the wife will need to drive the S4. I have been extolling the virtues of this car to my wife all day and I think I have almost convinced her.

RS2 is too special to go! Gotta be the A4

You're racked with concern about her safety, numerous times people get into difficulty where a bit more power would have saved them...

sell the poorly built interior`d B6 slow mobile

          IMO ofcourse

im also not a fan of the V6TT in the S4, but hey, the facelift S4`s are THE best pound for pound dailys that are so so so underated its laughable, dont sell the B5, you will not find a replacement

Even though we have a B6 avant and its great, that would be the one to go for me too.

You will not sell the RS2, that is a given.
The B5 can be (very) labor intensive, but it is a great car.
The B6 1.8TQ is a great daily driver, we have one with a BSR PPC flashloader remap that gives approx 200hp and 320nm. Surprisingly quick in the legal speed range.

I'm a big fan of the 1.8T engine and would pick it over any of the NA Audi engines with the exception of the V10. However, in this company, it comes up short. The only thing to consider is the reliability questions that always come with the B5 S4.

                  Thanks for feedback

After putting forward some persuasive arguments to the missus - i.e. cambelt has just been done on the S4, lower mileage, better radio reception etc. - I have decided the 1.8T will be put up for sale. I know the 1.8T is super reliable, but it just isn't that much fun to drive as the others. The interior on the B5 is also just so much better as well and the missus quite likes it as well.

I didn't try the speed = safety argument as suggested by Ian, but I'll keep that one in reserve!

Would be interested to hear what sort of issues arise on the S4.

Thanks for all your help guys.
