After having solved a problem with the fuel filter I decided to check the health of my RS2. It's like new! Only think with a little lag. I checked some pipes and everything is OK but I have the exhaust manifold with some leaks. Sooner or later I'll have to buy a new one.

Here is the Dyno and DynoSheet.

Nuno: 1. Video isn't working for us. 2. Any idea what the wheel horsepower (cv) was to get to the 306 peak cv (hp)? Or alternatively, what was the correction factor used?

Sorry. I edit and use link from youtube.

My RS2 is fully stock. Originally is 315ps and 410Nm. Measured 306ps and 405Nm so after 18 years i think that performance is OK!

I have here MAHA dyno but is 2WD so not work to 4 wheel drive. My dyno represent directly WHP. About Rotronics and don´t know but i think drag power to RS2 is maybe 50~60ps. So maybe we have ~250WHP.

You missed my point. They are reporting crankshaft horsepower when they only measured wheel horsepower (driveline losses but no tire on the rollers losses). This creates the opportunity for "artistic" manipulation on the results unless they have set correction factors.

I understand your point of view. In my Dyno MAHA do not need to add any variant to development of electronics, in this case a remap.

In MAHA I can increase load times which will only cause the spool is given earlier. Again I stress that in Rotronics not know how it works and I think it is not important.

What was meant to know is how the health of my RS2 which seems fine.

Hello, just some comments about the rotronics Dyno.

It can gives you both Wheel torque & power value as Engine Torque & Power value. In fact, like all roller Dyno it measure wheel power and estimate the loss power factor by a deceleration curve made after the try. The load can also be increased but it doesn't change the engine power.

                Hope it can help you.

                  Yes, i understand.

In attachment i have Golf 5 2.0TFSI 200ps with some mods but in my dyno.

Here is possible analize drag wheel, wheel power and engine power.

In Rotronics is necessary introduce wheel size and other caracteristics to possible " calculate " wheel horse power.

Please show us the equivalent dyno graph with the resistance for your RS2. That would be interesting.

Absolutely not, because the system acquire the wheel horse power and only after power loss calculation gives the engine horse power. The curve drawn during the try is the wheel power curve.

But, and it is very important, the wheel power given is the value of the whole system : car plus dyno, even the loss of the dyno is lower than those from the car. And in all of this kind of dyno it is the same.

The drag power in Rotronics is defined trough the introduction of the variables mentioned earlier. Be a VW Beetle engine of 1969 with rear engine and Porsche 993 the calculation is the same which to me is surreal but...OK!

In my MAHA dyno we can see the power to the wheel in real time and only after completing the test power is that the dyno measures drag. Drag power + wheel power is the engine power.

Here on the east Rotronics usually sure and wanted to know what is more than good.

                        Thank you.

Well, I can confirm you that the Autoscan software from Rotronics, is drawing the wheel power in real time. I work at Rotronics for 20 years so I think I know how works my software

The only things that you can define before the test, excepting the beginning and end speed (depending of the type of Dyno) are the characteristic of the car (mass, sCx, ...) to simulate the the air resistance during the try, but in theory it doesn't change your engine power.

                          Hope to be clear

Yes, here in Portugal exist few RS2 units.

We have in Aveiro. 50km of Oporto
