not handy I hate that when that happens. honestly why cant folk wrap things properly..... I sold a set of E46 ones last year and it cost me more in packaging than it did to post them.. I made surethey were well protected.
did you get a refund on them I hope.

Yeah no problem, you can adjust IQ a limited amount in vag com, and a lot by mechanically moving the pump (hammer mod), so we got the pump mechanically close while watching vag com, and then fine tuned it with vag com. My dad was able to get it close just by ear, so you should get it running ok anyway.

I would imagine I wouldn't need to do the hammer mod just try and fine tune it first.

so I finally got time to set about the rear end.
I got the discs and braided flex pipes on and also had to make up the short hard line on both sides.
Im going to get new bolts to hold the dust guards on as mine are pretty dodgy looking.
once ive got them ill pull the guards off and paint them.
plan is ill paint the upright at the same time. but I wanted the car mobile again.

so I got my front 312mm fitted today.. Im well chuffed.
I fitted the new calipers with the 312mm discs and new pads so there is a great improvement in the brakes.
they inspire a lot more confidence in the car.

Ive still to fit my braided hoses but will need to get new front hard lines made first as the ends that go into the flex pipes on both sides are rounded to hell.
no before pictures but gives you an idea..
and yip.. my wheels need refurbished but there is other things I want to sort first.
Just ordered a gates timing belt kit and new water pump. so that will be the next job.

wow ive not been here for 2 years....
to be honest there has been very little progress on the car. I moved house and that has taken priority over the car.
it went for its MOT last year and was advised on a leak from the power steering rack.
it came home and got parked up and I ordered a refurbished rack.
it has lay in the drive for almost a year and never turned a wheel..

while it was off the road I fitted the replacement rack, track rod ends, decat, PD130 turbo, timing bet, water pump and a new power steering pump.
its had a few other bits done also. I finally got it to a stage where it could be started about 3 weeks ago..
so just been trying to get a few miles on it now before it goes back for its next MOT at the nd of the month..
Ive still got the bigger nozzles to fit so looking to get a another set of injectors to use to fit the nozzles to then fit them that way.

Got myself a cheap Kamei grill. Ive always fancied one ever since I saw one on an S2



think I will get a set of black rings and fit them to the grill though.

so it looks like the cactus might be getting a stable mate.. it belongs to my mate at present he bought it on a whim but as he says himself... he needs another car like a hole in the head!! so Ive been offered it at what its due him ( not a lot ) so ive said yes..
