I bought some chrome shelled UK RHD mirrors from a forum member. I put the right hand door mirror on last week. Today I put the second "chrome" (plastic shell) mirror on the drivers door (curved glass because it was the UK RHD passenger door mirror). I bit hard to handle viewing-wise but it does eliminate blind spots well. Might not stay but I will leave them both on for awhile.
That and the newly refurbed 18" A!Avantgarde wheels (made by BBS) and a quick wash tomorrow and I am ready to rock and roll. Tacoma WA (south of Seattle) here we come. Supposedly the biggest Audi only gathering in the US. I've been going for many years. Usually good.
I'll take a photo of the engine bay tomorrow, showing the "new" non-cracked "4.2" plate, newly "screwed" 32V DOHC wire covers (4 of the hold down screws at $17 a pop) and V8 air-cleaner hold downs (scrounged a front one so I don't have to use the Fred Flinstone version)
