20VT X3 Engine Builds

[martinws]

I offered to convert the caddy to rear engined rear wheel drive using one of the 20vt engines in there....

This has been on my must do next list for a while!

Fantastic job mate

What parts are you using? I got my stuff from FCP.

We don't use FCP ... They parts are very good but we have exclusive deals with 034 motorsport

It's in .... Not long now [emoji28]

[momento1]

so a sport quattro exhaust manifold is straight bolt up to all 5 cyls?

Looks like it mounts the turbo slightly higher then the regular rs2/s2 or wagner manifolds.
Probably a good option as opposed to going tubular to get the turbo to sit higher for intake wise

[DNA-S2]

Yep [emoji4]
And also great for larger turbo application [emoji6]

[momento1]

anybody have one available to suit a t3 flange??

[DNA-S2]

They are all T3 flange ....
And they all not available anymore from Wagner [emoji22]
Used last two I had in stock
Some dealers across Europe might have some but they have boosted prices up now up to +£200 per manifold
Sorry can't help

[momento1]

hmmm thats a shame.

Had i know that i wouldnt have went for the RS2 evo manifold from wagner!!

Anyone want to swap?

[DNA-S2]

Well one engine is in and running in at the moment [emoji28]

[andy10v]

Thats a beautiful engine bay Danny!

What throttle cable did you use?

[DNA-S2]

I use original cable ... Chop it and only use both ends and make rest from Scratch

This 1.8T TT engine will be cool to [emoji4]
But still not 5 cylinder [emoji22]

[DNA-S2]

You can see here ...
Do the pedal bit first ... Fit in the bulk head
Measure length of black sleeve ... Cut
Feed the cable core ... Cut
Fit ends and Bob is your uncle [emoji6]ImageUploadedByTapatalk1428015158.019195.jpg
