My TDi has been without MOT for the last 6 months and the previous owner was still driving it around like that! Tax has just ran out so I am working on getting it legal again. LOL.

I think I might have spent a couple of months last year MOTless.
I lost the certificate and my MOT man had a computer upgrade and lost all his old files so couldn't remember when it was due. Strangely enough it passed first time. :mischeif:

wow...around here, those things (especially in cities) don't get overlooked. The city is out to make money...I forgot about my test last year and had a ticket on the car the next morning.
Here in Spain we don't have to put any tax dix or anything. It you like you can put a sticker with your MOT validity.
I haven't go to the MOT on a while. I am 2 years late I think. :mischeif:
Don't want to push my luck, so I am homologating the brakes (we need to homolagate almost everything here ) and hoping they do not notice the RS2 engine at MOT next month

Realised last night that it had ran out. Just got back from the MOT station, PASSED with flying colours. Thats a relief.
Only £35 down though.
Read this today and realised My Mot was due on the 4th
Took it down to the local Mot place(The dude only has one arm so never goes mad pulling the wheels about )
Passed no probs too Got to give it to the S2, a mate regularly spends 300 quid getting a ticket on his cars and is suitably gutted i haven't again

My MOT's being done on Monday. I'm hoping it'll pass without any problems. There's always stuff i'm worried about, but as my MOT man says, stuff has to be almost falling off to fail. I guess mine never gets that bad. So far, four years, two coupes and one number plate light bulb. Can't complain yet.

Watch out mate, you could still possibly get done with a 'failure to display a valid disc'.
