  • My coupe track day car

    Hi, quite new on this forum
    I have ben building a track day car for a few years, a little diferent than the usual builds.
    It has a v8 form urs4.

    Have used this engine for 2 seasons as an N/A engine on a stock =01A gearbox and that worked well, But latly i have been modefying everything for a rear mount turbo.

    I will uppdate with som more pictures, and just ask if you are intrested

    do you mean a turbo on the v8?
    what turbo are you going to use and what is your goal on hp?
    audi coupe quattro b2 2.2 20vt project (573hp-626nm)

        Sounds interesting.

        I am in for info/pictures on the build.

        Is that a full cage?

            Yes the turbo is already up and running, I am using a Holset HX55, god for 900 hp in 2.5 20V so on the V8 its not any less i guess

            My hp goal was 6-700 on stock engine internals, running on E85.

            And when this engine is going bad i am on god way with my next engine, this one has bored sleves, h-profile rods and 8.5 JE pistons. This engine will also run with S6 plus heads. Goals for this engine i dont know yet, maybe 900+ hp

            But for now i am alredy having fun.

            2 weeks ago i was visiting my tuner and we made 488 whp and 690 wnm before the 01a broke. this was at 0.6 bar but we did not finish 0.6 bar, there was more to get wit adjustment of timing.

            So a 01e box has ben installed now last week.

            An ice rally is coming up in about 2 weeks so no more tuning will e done before then, in case someting else break

              How did you do the oil return on the rear mount turbo?

              And we need more pictures!!!!!!

                Yes sort of, the turbo is sitting right behind the driver seat, almost inside the car but boxed in for safty, I will post pictures later

                There is an 3.5" exhaust after the turbo, crossing over to the right side and over the subframe, same as the stock exhaust does, with an 3.5 mufler at the rear.

                      I am using an oil return pump, Just ordered a new one because the one i got was a bit noisy.

                      AN 4 to turbo and AN 10 from retur to pump. The pump is only 10" from the turbo and sits a little lower than the turbo, And the pump is self priming, and pumping straight to the oilpan.

                              Here is a great video, with god editing, a friend of mine made, Its from one of last years Audi VW trackday, and also som dragracing, you can se my silver coupe some times in it, also from inside with dual cams,

                              This was only with stock V8 N/A, but still funny
