It's gone, the S2 has gone

End of an era for sure. With huge regret I have had to sell the S2. An impending move and loss of garage along with some other life changes meant that I could not really justify keeping the toy. It has been really good fun for the last three years, has never let me down and always put a huge smile on my face but I had to let head rule heart on this one.

It has gone to a really nice chap (who you will no doubt see on here in future) who is really enthusiastic about his cars and has enjoyed a past stable of old school classics that most you will approve of. I am sure he will be along at some point to ask for information and to share his new toy.

One of the best things about S2 ownership is this forum. Hands down the best place to be on t'interweb. I am not a big forum user but this place is great. I will still be sticking around for the banter and maybe if life changes in a different way in the future, I could see myself owning another S/RS car again.

It is not farewell but thanks for the help/advice etc (especially certain people, you know who you are) that people have given to enable me to keep such a fun, rewarding car on the road. It's been a pleasure.

Andrew you forgot to add 'and having to gold fish bowls was to much for me'

Seriously though you better not disappear as we all need the banter. Sure it won't be long before something else with 4 rings turns up in your ownership

Ha ha, mine didn't leak Chris. I only said that to make you coffin carriers feel better about yourself ha ha. I think mine was quite rare in that it was really well put together.

Anyhow, I will not be leaving totally. Will still be my first checkin each morning and I have no doubt whatsoever that Audi will remain high on my list of priorities in the future. If nothing else, I want an A5 3.0 TDI Q to replace my Leon (now that does leak, bloody thing)

Wow a dry coupe? I hope you charged extra for that lol.

Well it is possible to solve the Leon leak, the second attempt of completely stripping the front of my brothers worked a treat so chin up... Alternatively swap it out for that nice sounding Audi you describe lol. Glad to hear you aren't going anywhere... Oh and everyone knows if the coffin carriers are better lol

Leak free must carry a premium ha.

I dont think my Leon is leaking from the front. The rear carpet behind the drivers seat is wet. Reckon it is the rear wash/wipe hose leaking into the tailgate and through that way. Will investigate when it warms up a bit and when I can be arsed.

Just met GavS2 (nice guy) who just took some old brake stuff off me. I now have nothing S2 related left at all.

Ha good old gav, that reminds me I should get in touch with him. He spent some money on the avant?

I think you would be surprised about the water trickling down from the front but the rear wash wile would be a good one to check too.

                      Hello All,

Its me who took Andys S2 away from him!

Great to meet you Andy, and the car is great, runs really well with the MTM upgrades.

Thinking it could do with some suspension upgrades. Its a bit too soft for the power its running I think. And for the brakes.

I will try to keep it cleaner than Andy did haha.

Looking forward to getting more involved with the forum. I have been lurking here for years.

Yep it is a good one and has always gone well (as the test drive showed ha ha)

Enjoy it and no doubt tightening it up will make it even better. I just couldn't bear it being any harder over bumps but it will make it much better in the corners and under braking. I was considering turning it into a track machine for a while and suspension would have been the next thing on that list but circumstances changed.

                        Andrew
