V8 Boleros with Conti ExtremeContact DWs on 94 S4 V8 avant
Very tasty Dave,i like the look of those and the 18"Avus but agree 17" best for ride comfort. Those wheels are the rare'er version with the 45 degree lip and deeper dish so not the same as the brochure ones. Are they the et35 x 8J?
I have totally different experience with 17" vs. 18"
had RS6 replica 17" rims with 225/45 tyres and those felt harsh
when I switched to 18" Avus with 235/40 it felt much better
btw - I have one Bolero 18" in mint condition if someone is interested
Interesting you ran 235 45 17 tires. I'm running 255 40 17 and they were fine just filling the arch width wise. Then I moved from Michelin to continental sport Contact 2 and they are wider than the Michelin tires of the same size! I had to add some rear camber to keep the tire in the arch.

They are the 441601025AA*, 8J x 17 H2, ET 35 that were exclusive to the V8. I bought them from my local VW/Audi part supplier (not a dealer) who has a 92 V8 and had bought two full sets when they were on close out. He runs one set on his V8 and had the other set on display in his shop for over a year. After I got the V8 avant and bought the UrS4 V8 brochure off eBay, I had to have them. And you are right, the ones I have are NOT the ones that show on the brochure car (I don't know the PN for those but I think they are ET40). I like the 45 deg lip.
*EDIT: As it turns out, although I wasn't lieing per se, I was misinformed. In reality they were 4A0071495 (1ZL) B5 A4 accessory wheels, 8J x 17 H2, ET 35, with 45 deg lip. Sorry about that.
I thought they were the ones as they are unique as far as i know ie 5 stud Boleros with the 45 deep dish lip 8J with ET 35,which pushes them out slightly which is nice.I sold a set to Tonks a year ago. You were very lucky to get new ones.

Just saw your old advert while looking for the PN on the B5 A4 Boleros. Somebody is suggesting that what I have is B5 A4 Boleros. I know that is wrong but I want to find the PN and ET for the B5 ones to S him TFU.
Any help with PN?
EDIT: As it turns out, I was misinformed. They are 4A0071495 (1ZL) B5 A4 accessory wheels. I have offered the "accuser" beer money.
