    ah, the silence

...so after a bit of a nightmare of a weekend in terms of sorting the car, I turned it on and......nothing, no beeps

Actually hadn't realised how much difference the brake check warning made the car feel less quality. Pedal feel is much improved too.

    Add in the improvement of
    Replacement bomb and ps fluid
Replacement PS hose to bomb has silenced the whine i had
    New front discs and pads
    Calipers cleaned up
Fresh front wishbone bushes - amazed how much slop there was on the front from tired bushes and the knock i thought was from the top mount was in fact the bushes!
Replacement nearside front outer cv joint
Cleaned and re-greased inner cv and suddenly the car is feeling a whole lot more pleasant to drive.
    New air filter
Drain and renew oil and fresh filter.

Next up, prop refurbishment and replacing the rear diff seals and then down to crossing fingers to get it through the MOT next month.

Sounds like a nice refresh you've done. I'm sure the MOT man will like what he sees

Am looking to do similar brake job to mine so pleasing to hear what a difference it's made to yours. When I renewed my subframes last year I also put a new rear diff on what a difference to the old one no leaks on garage floor anymore!!!

There's bit of work there, good job. Did you go with OEM bushes or poly?

Were you getting brake warning all of the time which made you change the bomb?

Yep each start up and I played with the sensor in the brake fluid reservoir and the PS one too. Did a bomb test and realised it was shot
