It's cool to see a father and son both with an example, hope you get years of enjoyment from the cars,.

I'm good mate's with cardcrash and we haven't fallen out over parts yet

We did a long run around the far north of Scotland last year which was great fun, their superb cars for doing serious journeys in, the Recaro's never seem to become uncomfortable.

Would have helped if either he or you had mentioned that little fact

Good to hear it's all in the family.

I had no clue about the "flipper" being such and was perhaps too keen to help. My bad.

I'm popping to VRS next week as they are local to me. Has anyone used them?

Yes! Will Linfoot is the owner and is a great guy, there's almost nothing he doesn't know about our Audis, I recommend him 5000%, has a dyno now too!

Stuart's (SE_30) Audi 90 which he built was a feature car in Audi Tuner magazine, he will speak highly of him as well!

This is the build he's doing for me now, a ragusa green RS2 like yours:

Had my first taste of rs ownership this week.

A trip to see Doug at MRC for a health check and inspection revealed quite a few issues to be rectified. The most pressing is the incorrectly timed cambelt. This had been done by the previous owner very recently and has been set to the 1 o'clock position instead of the 11 o'clock position. So that's priority number 1. The second is a few dead bushes and ball joints. Powerflex bushes have been ordered and will hopefully be done at the same time as the cambelt by Doug. Also took the plunge and ordered a Jetex cat back system today. I've been told they are a decent system but haven't read any reviews or heard any real world experience. I did want a miltek but as they are not available the jetex was my only option.

The other main issue is a leaking intercooler which looks to have sustained a small bump at some point in its life. Hopefully one of my friendly fabricators at work will be able to weld and pressure test. If not then I guess I will be buying a Wagner oem replacement.

Will update when it's mechanically sorted and then the cosmetic work can begin.

Will post pictures of the issues and also the fixes as and when they happen.

Also need to do a wanted advert for the few odds and sods that are needed/wanted to make it good again

Impatience and Banbury is only 20 miles away. What's wrong with MRC?
