    Hi All

The bug has already kicked in quite hard. I'm starting with a Homefry chip but I would like to start gathering parts for the next stage of performance upgrade. I hugely appreciated all advise offered so far and hopefully one day I will be able to offer advise in return to other new members.

So my plan is to gradually, or quickly, gather parts which will give me a nice fast street car rather than anything meant for a track or strip. With this in-mind I am looking for medium power, circa 350hp, and great low down torque.

It is my understanding that something along the lines of the following should help me achieve this; K24-7200 or 7400 turbo, RS or similar manifold, RS or similar intercooler, free flow exhaust, possible injector upgrade, and a ECU map.

I would like to keep the car looking standard so bolt-on parts best suited.

Any advise hugely appreciated. I am open minded and not precious.

If anyone has such parts which they would consider selling then please do advise. Maybe what I want is too rare now but I need to start somewhere.

(I can advise on air cooled Porsches to a certain extent if said marque is discussed on this forum)

    Kind regards
    Dan

your looking for a rs2 setup what means :
    -rs2 turbo k7200
-rs2 or simular exhaust manifold like wagner
-rs2 airbox or your own modifieded or k&n filter
    -rs2 green injectors 440cc
-4bar fuelpressure regulator(i'm not sure bout this)
    -ecu chip or standalone ecu
    -rs2 intercooler is always better
you can also place a bigger exhaust if your budget allows
this setup is normal good for max 380 hp

Lol - pretty much what I discussed with Dan yesterday although I did forget to mention the RS2 air box.

The RS2 injectors are actually 360cc at 3bar but I prefer the headroom from the 440cc variety as 380bhp is pretty much the limit for the RS2 injectors at 4bar.

@Dan - your ABY already has the 4bar FPR so you can tick that box.

I would definitely add an RS2 or Carsten Evo K24 exhaust manifold to the list - it's less restrictive than the ABY item.

While you are there - think about a 3" down pipe to suit and get one made with an extra O2 sensor bung so it's easy to add on a separate wide band sensor.

          Thanks Nick

          Thanks Paul.

This weekend is pulling out my standard ECU for Homefry option. Starting my yoga moves already.

Looks like I can get a RS manifold via the forum 'for sale' section.

          Its starting again!

I would say RS2 is best bolt on bang for buck.

            If you are on a budget;

            RS2 or replica exhaust manifold
            RS2 turbo
RS2 injectors (or 440s if you can get software to match)
            RS2+software
            Fuel pump

            Then add

            Downpipe/exhaust
            Intercooler
            Airbox

            As you can.

I would also budget for new boost hoses, vac hoses, diverter valve etc that may fail with higher boost, it will also show up any weakness in the ignition system, TFSI coil upgrade time?

If you have more money then there are more modern turbos that are "better", something like an EFR, Garrett, etc, you will normally then need new oil lines, sometimes new intake hoses and a live map.

You can also get a billet compressor wheel for the RS2 turbo and a live map to extract a bit more response and power.

Keep an eye here for an exhaust manifold.

I just missed out on this group buy Hopefully be another one organised soon if there is enough demand.
