Sams NOS on Audi S2 Coupe

how are you getting on with nos?

Had some good fun with it, but have been through one block already!

The main probrem is I'm running an American Nitrous Express kit and blasting 100bhp through when on full acceleration. Every little problem you may have becomes a big problem under the strain!

I've fitted a 1994 S4 block and I'm just fixing some issues, Turbo re condition, new turbo hoses, new coils packs before I can use it again.

I have been talking to http://www.noswizard.com/ about a progressive system and auto switch on but need to replace the Nitrous injectors for NOS ones which are about a grand!

Sounds like a serious boost in power. Did you bend a rod then? I have an S4 block in my car too from when I did a rebuild a couple of years ago

how quick does the nos injector recpricate?

ive used MAC valves in the past - (not for nos tho) which are extreemly fast the last one i had could recipricate at a very high number of times per second (not sure how many have to check)- might be worth looking into as they are alot cheaper than a grand

It runs much better with the S4 block, which I found from an S4 that wass looked after by AMD and done approx 82k.

Just have a problem at the moment of losing a cylinder when ever I hit full boost! Think its down to a weak coil pack.

sounds mad, whats the peak BHP / Torque figures with NOS??

Will take a look later on. I had a similar problem with coil packs not long ago and ended up changing all 5 coil packs since I couldnt track down the problem. ECP are the cheapest on them at moment.

Not sure with NOS approx 400bhp,

Without NOS on AMD's rolling road the figures were

305 Bhp @ 4900

356 ft lb @ 3600

ish I'll have to dig out the print out,

They were struggling to keep it on the rolling road as it was misssing firing at high revs.

for 5 they dropped the price to 70 ish +vat. If you ask for quote of 1 they are about 90 + vat.

sounds pretty respectable power, one thing I would recommend even on the standard turbo is an RS2 EM because of the amount of nitrous you are running cylinders 1 & 5 are restricted by the standard EM above ~315hp
