i'll have to agree with you on that one. one day i'm going to have one of them as a toy, when i,ve finished sorting the s2, paying the mortgage, keeping the wife happy etc...........although there probably won't be room in the boot for my zimmer frame by then.94 S2 Avant, Crystal Silver, slightly modded

The wheels look like 18" Compomotive MOs to me.
I've found the 10.03 sec sprint video link, but I can't seem to get it to work. I've already got it on my PC, it's just less than 6MB.
Right click and 'Save Target As'.

Well, it would be hard to do 10.03 on low profile radials without 4WD anyway!
Repositioning the engine and trans that far back will put horrid angle into the shafts and CVs, the shafts might need to be lengthened too. Not ideal, but...
...alternatively, it is possible to run boxes of three spur gears either side of the trans to step the drive forwards - that is how the Opel DTM Calibras were built in their final version (earlier versions had front diff almost in the sump!)
