Thats NOT what Porsche had in mind with the 944 S2 - but thats pretty original project.
Bizarrely - I really like the look of the 944 - always have. Never even sat in one. I'd say you'd have your hands full with that engine at even 300bhp trim into RWD with an LSD. Side windows would need to be clean !!!
I agree, I have always loved the shape and stance of the 944. My wife says they are horrible, but what does she know?!
Good little project that.

944 is a lovely car & in many ways the best car I've ever had to spend 80,000 miles in, just got no room for the family and the lack of 4 wheel drive made it a nightmare in the snow.
Plus points:
Beautifully put together, even better than Audi
Steering feel and brakes
Comfortable seat and driving position
A well engineered and laid out wiring system that's a delight to work on
Why swedish and hungarians are so but soooooooo sick about power, power and more power and awesome/perfect projects??? God... I wish to be like them too!!!!
- Looking for a S2
- Lancia Dedra HF turbo i.e. (4sale)
- Typ89 Coupè quattro, 20Vt AAN, VEMS, K24-7000@1.3bar (scrapped )
Why would you go to all that work and then drop in a 7A instead of at least a 3B, or better yet an AAN, ABY or ADU? Makes no sense (to me).
On a related note: That white cover is not a rocker cover. If you can find a valve "rocker" under that cover, I will a) eat it and b) puke it up and c) eat it again.
If anything, it's a valve cover or, better yet, a cam cover. ETKA avoids the subtle nuances and calls it a "cylinder head cover".

I agree. I guess you're not a man that changes his fan belt either.
