    Did anyone noticed this car at Goodwood FOS

    Going all this way making a new car and letting your self down by putting four stud hubs and front and rear brakes from golf mk1.

    Not carrying much weight so I guess those are up for the job - no need to be exotic I suppose - pretty tidy looking self built special there

        but surely its such a common hub size that it would be easy to upgrade to bigger brakes... then again - how much weight is the thing

          With the engine in the back the brakes can be a little more balanced size although you'd still need more up front.

            If there mk1 golf brakes the biggest they done were 239mm

              I think if I remember right it could be around 850-900kg, what I was trying to point out is presentation, if you build car and you want to sell it well the car should presented at its best strait away.

                    Gtis were vented and useless. Mine has mk2 16v discs and Audi Coupe calipers.

                      Well then they are not from gti mk1 cos these things were tiny, solid and calipers were single piston surely nowhere near to stop this 360bhp V8
