500 bhp cosworth

A guy I used to work with took me for a spin in his 500bhp escort cossie last night. THe turbo in it was huuuuge.
Im not a great fan of the cossie(a bit too indiscreet for my tastes) but this was one quick car.
Nothing below 3500rpm and then all hell breaks loose. Its been converted to rear wheel drive - goes sideways in a straight line.

It sure put a smile on my face, but I was still glad to get back in my S2, no drama just quick smoothe and secure.

I was actually at the RSOC track day on sunday at croft, and before the assasins are sent round to my house, its actually a really good day out. There are also loads of other cars there than cossies. (Including a S8 and a couple of lambos, one of which a 2 week old gallardo).

Some mentally quick cars there, some quite happily spinning all four wheels on tarmac.....

I really like the Esc Cossie, the only Ford i'd consider owning... think they are nice looking cars, but then i'm still a bit of lad so like all that boy racer type stuff :lol

Thats exactly what I dont like about it. Other than that its a very capable car. I gettin a bit old for that now.
2 minutes into the drive and we had the Nova boys following - but not for long lol - they were soon a distant spec in the rear view.

You could always put a whale tale on the A3.

Shame the S2 has to go, you must be gutted.

I've got a 1 minute clip of an Escort Cossie doing donuts at Knockhill back in August. Quite impressive. I'll try and upload it, but don't hold your breath as its 18.8MB!

Hey sid i was at Knockhill on August. I am surprised i never seen u yeah right there was loads of folk there. I missed the cossie performing I was in the pits at the time. very good day out.
