Maybe they're the correct 245/40/17 as stated on RS2 documents.
Still as we all know some of the modern tires in that size are almost dangerous on a '7 rim and those look like very scary....
Far better downsize to 225/45/17

Indeed, they seem to be 245 wide. A thing I never understood of the RS2 though, but in that way it is the correct size.

Quattrostyle, the 245 size was only in reality the "name" of the special dunlop tyres, when they went NLA the correct replacement is 225 size for the 7" rim.

But they are right, 245 tyres are too wide to be safe on a 7J rim
