There's never been a 2.3 v6, so it must be a 5 inline 2309 if the engine size is corret.

v6 is 2.6 or 2.8. Don't know about availabillity of these enigines to the coupe though

Yep,,,I5 engine (probably the 10v NG engine as the 20v's had a "20v quattro badge" on the rear (though this could have been removed)
The ABC and AAH engine didn't make it into the coupe until the facelift models of 1992. ABC (2.6) never got quattro here in the coupe, the AAH (2.8) did, but not that many were sold.
