Red boxster "S" are the same as black "996", so yes they'll fit the S2 with the right bracket. (Seat/Custom or RS2)
As for the S4, I'd say they'd fit. Any brake will fit any car! with the right bracket/disc and clearance :mischeif:

No i wouldn't bother, the piston sizes are different to the 996 fronts as i sold a pair of these on ebay not long ago, was gonna use them on the Golf but sold them before i got the S2 back, could have used them for rears on the S2

              Cheers,

these are rear callipers. I thought the usual upgrade was 4 pot porsche front calipers onto the s2?

You probably can put them on the rears but for the sake of the brake bias you would probably need some 6 pots on the fronts to even it out.

                    Cheers,

Because you would not have a handbrake.

"can rear porsche calipers be used on front of s2"....YES.

Well they sure work on my CQ. Billzcat1 has a kit that should be able to work for you.
I'm running 996 rears on the front with PBR pads. Fantastic mod for minimum moola.

Can someone with this billcatz1 kit take it for a brake test and post the results?
                          Testing front and back.
I would be very interested in the results.

Yeh but aren't the rears setup for 28mm discs?

The thing with the home brew kit using Front 996 Parts, is that everything is available off the shelf.
