Nice write up Andy. Just one minor point, you quote the standard ABY power as 225bhp instead of 230bhp. Just thought I'd mention it FWIW.

229ps which is 226bhp aparently according to Carfolio. S2Central recons 230bhp though. Much confusion!

Mine did 240bhp in 5th at Interpro in March and that was before it was fully sorted. Should be a little more now as all the vacuum lines are sorted. Nice!

The S2 is gorgeous in that Alpine White. I love it and its rather rare. I can only think of two other S2's globally in this colour. Far too many came to England in boring Emerald Green (like mine) - it looks great when clean and polished but ever so duhhhlll with a week or two's road grime. But white looks fantastic with both sides of the car covered in the contents of B-roads !

Minhea was really suprised when he saw it and I had to open the bonnet before he'd believe that it was actually an ABY!! When I bought it I thought that it was pearl white but having seen an actual pearl white coupe I can't believe that I believed it was! A rare beast indeed. Maybe I'll enbelish the advfert with a few more facts. Am I correct in thinking that only 1700 or so ABY coupes were ever made?

Don't be disheartened - there just isn't hoards of people wanting one of these cars. Lets face it, most folk on here already have on. Most of the rest of public society (dross that they are) would not be the least bit interested in an S2. That's why I love 'em so much.

To be honest - If I had a spare wadge of cash for a project car - it would be an Alpine White S2, but sadly that ain't gonna happen for a LONG time.

You'll sell it when the right person comes along !
