Lots of RS2 parts..... came home

    Hi everybody,

    mission accomplished.
Has really been a tough day, anyway !
Took all I could but unfortunatly some of the parts requested where no more available or seriously damaged. Main parts, however, are all in my garage .

The breaker did already take off the car engine and gearbox (and this was a fortune, otherwise I wouldn't probably have been able to take all the other good parts I found on the car).
Now of course parts need to be cleaned and organized (I'll do the job this week) and some calculations will be done accordingly to get the final price for them.
Economically I would have hoped for some better conditions, but I still believe it was worth.
This car should be one of the latest built (don't know if RS2s were also built in '96) because has the plastic intake duct. It also had very few Km on it !!

Take a look at the speedo :eek2:

I was really sheptical at first, but then I checked carefully all the parts that could have given an idea, such as clutch and brake pedals or the steering wheel, that don't have any sign of wear.

The only brake caliper and disk found (front right side, only side of car not damaged) show clearly the car hasn't been used much.
this picture shows it together with the rear caliper I already had.
Look at the disk: no lip on it.
    Pads also seem almost new.

      Those are only preview pics.
Will take some more showing all the parts after I have them ready.

      Don't be impatient

Oh, by the way, I think somebody asked for the Intercooler

The IC of course was only a joke, but gives an idea of the external conditions of the car. Apart from right side doors (that I took complete) no other external part was usable.

Just to give a "lustfull" anticipation, all four of the side panels are excellent and.... they are the ones with carbon inserts

Unfortunatly the carbon panel on the passenger side was gone. Some idiot took it off togheter with other parts I would have liked to take ( such as the AC CPU, the fuel pump and the rear calipers, just to make some examples.... ).

        Ciao
