Really need some advice - was thinking about changing for an RS4 and don't know anything about the value of my car and whether it's better to sell this type privately or do part-x at dealers? It's only done 80k miles and is in good condition. Black leather interior - 5 spoke alloys.
If you list the details/extras your car has with pics we will be glad to give you a guide price. DO NOT go for p/x, a couple of guys on here ended up giving theirs away to a dealer.

Specs on car are: N reg '95 - Dark metallic green. 80,600 miles. 3 owners (inc me) Audi serviced until 2003 then Audi specialist (Dialynx, Swindon.) Full black leather interior, dark grey roof lining and carpets. Fake veneer or real veneer (who knows!) on passenger dash and doors. S4 5 spoke alloys (inc. spare), electric windows/mirrors. 18month old alarm and immobiliser (cat1. Scorpion) Tilt and slide suroof. Radio cassette.
It has had a ECU upgrade but not sure which one, would have to get details... it moves though!! I think it's pushing out 260/270bhp now.
Bad bits -paint cracking slightly on centre of rear bumber, missing dr. side spoiler grill (if anyone knows where I can get one please let me know!)
Any rough guide would be helpful, especially what you said already about not part-x'ing it...
I would say that you should be looking between £7000 and £8000 with it having nice mileage on. Looks like Ragusso Green. Have a look on www.autotrader.co.uk to give you a guide. HTH

Spoiler grills are cheap from vagparts.com - see home page here for link.
Also check out the wanted / classified ads on here, there is a guy called Richard from Bournmouth looking to buy a green or blue ABY coupe. Sounds like a perfect match!
Cheers,
Steve.

Overall I would say that you have a very nice car there , but I think Rotorboy may be pushing the price a tad high......I bought a '95 Ragusa green S2 with 83K on the clock 6 months ago for less that that and mine has the heated seats and aircon.
Also, you have standard 16" Audi S2 Avus alloy wheels (with 6 spokes) not the S4 Avus alloys (which also have 6 spokes). Saying that you have an S2 with 5 spoke alloys confuses folks as the early less desirable (sorry , couldn't resist ) S2's had 5 spokes.
Personally, I would say...keep the S2, you have a great car there. I plan to stick mine in the garage and run summut like an S4 as a daily driver. Great though the S4 is, it will never be a classic, like an UR or S2

Cool, thanks for the pointers and that link - it is interesting. I can't believe I didn't even count the number of spokes on my alloyes before posting!! DOH!
