Other than yours not being a Dialynx kit ( read on the Quattro pictures thread?) Is that exactly the same as yours, like the rake of the screen etc,etc.
Obviously yours is dentless And indeed, the 20v would not go amiss........

yes mine is same as that but in carbon / kevlar not fibreglass .6 point safety devices roll cage 20 valve modified engine .adjustable suspension plus so much more than that car etc etc .nearly everything is one off .

That question and answer epic at the bottom of the auction shows what a bunch of nosey ****ers use Ebay. People with absolutely no clue about what is for sale put in their 2p worth and ruin the selling experience... Makes for a comedy read though (start at the bottom and look out for the handbag toting prat).

The car looks great... and I'd have to agree with one of the comments...

Q: ...a comment for that **** who posted about a boy racer and was smary with his 20V ounce of knowledge, TO put it bluntly mate if i could get by for two hours with no internal organs i would sell them all for this car then spend two hours of sheer bliss and die happy, I'd ruin the interior, but 18.5K worth EVERY penny, i just wish i could!

i had my next door neighbours brother come from another town thinking because my shorty is 1986 model car its just another old car .he was shocked when i told him what they are worth, most people haven't got a clue and they taik b@@ocks.

It's strange as the comment about the screen angle makes sense - with the shorter wheelbase, the proportions look a bit funny vs. the original shortie which had the more upright windscreen which somehow looks more "right"? Lovey car though and you've gotta love fleabay really haven't you.

Gotta say these cut'n'shut jibs just look *wrong* to me. The original sport was never going to win any beauty contests - but at least it looked right with the steeper screen from the 80/90 saloon.

As for a 'chipped' WR or MB producing 300bhp on the stock turbo I'd be sceptical. Isn't it well known that 300bhp is the absolute limit for a modified K-Jetronic fuel system ?

If I had the inclination to build a sport replica - I would be doing it with a 20V engine and the correct front end.

Just my opinion on this - not dissing anybody here - including Dialynx - they sold these conversions for a while for loadsamoney so there is/was obviously an enthusiastic marketplace for them. Only a handful of nutcases around the world (like Jeffer and his friends) can attempt to create their own replica !

Gotta say - if I had 50k to spend on an Audi - it would be the neuRS4 instead of an original shorty. Wash my mouth out !!!!!!!!!

Try 240bhp as the maximum K Jet will produce.

Even Treser only managed 250 with the 8 port head and then they seriously overfuelled.

The only way to get serious hp from a 10v is to go electronic, junk the K Jet and fit something modern. 034efi, Motec, Luminition, etc. to name a few.
