Tidy apart from two small patches on the front wings, drop the bumper re-paint and it's a minter. Was on before, so may be a problem or highest bidder may have not paid - thre's a lot of it about on Ebay :mischeif:

Complete tangent, this, for which i apologise. Hope is a weird placename, but not as weird as "New Invention" IMO. Apparently there's more than one place in the UK called that..... guess it dates from industrial revolution or summat.....
anyway, sorry for going off topic. looks very nice that avant!Comment

I've driven through two villages somewhere in I think the Lake District, one was called
Once Brewed
the next village along the same road was called
Twice Brewed.

Partly on the basis of your considered opinion, this was the S2 Avant that I went ahead and bought....and I picked it up today. 150 miles, and so far, so good......what a pleasure to be back behind a 5 cylinder, 20v turbocharged engine again ( that was 120000 miles in an Audi 100 S4 ).
Like you say, there are all sorts on eBay, but the guy selling it seemed a totally genuine car enthusiast. Previous sale fell through due to buyers lack of that basic essential - cash.
