One Corrado G60 (still 16v in the log book but to save time of having the log book away ill fill that in when the new buyer turns up). Has made no difference on insurance as I’ve just insured it as a G60
146K
G60 lump has about 139K so fitting to the car
Had new belt about 10K ago still looks new
Runs perfectly
Polished Alternator just needs cleaning
Rebuilt charger and I’m not kidding this thing got about 2 miles Snorkel form the standard air box removed so it can breath better, Its fully ported but only running standard pulley so should be a prob getting pulley and sns chip.
Just been serviced so new oil filter air filter, knock sensor, blue temp sensor, belts, spark plugs etc.
VR6 water radiator
Now as described on here the best mod for any F/I car even if you wanted to 20v it.
Using a rallye outlet I’ve mounted a front intercooler (forge motorsport one so not a cheap one off another car with plastic ends) using 2.5" Alu piping through out and keeping original look under the bonnet.
Full magnex exhaust system with de-cat pipe
Koni coilovers
Eibach anti roll bars
Audi S2 callipers with G60 front discs
Braided hoses all the way round only got the two next to the rear axle to do but was saving that for the future when I get the rear axle bushes done. That’s the only original bit that I can see will need doing over the next coming years
Was bare metal re-sprayed two years ago and got a few things done a few months ago all in a lighter shade of LC3U so it shines today you just have to look at the pictures all I did was wash the car its to bloody cold to wax it as well
Body mod’s go as far as
Smooth roof proper steel strips and welded not like the cheap way of filler as it will crack
Smooth Rear end
Removed rear wiper and smoothed out not just filled
Removed aerial
Audi door handles
Late VW side repeaters
GTX front bumper
DSP side skirts
Kamei eyebrow
Colour coded front end i.e. headlamp trim etc
Complete VR front end slam panel, wings, bonnet, etc
Inside I have recaro beige leather trim with late beige leather door cards and beige leather gear gaiter
I think that’s the perfect balance of not to black or to beige
Passat glass sunroof got original but broken mech
BBS leather steering wheel
Boost gauge blending into the clock surrounds. Also a/f, volts and oil pressure gauges hidden for drives view only all gauges are autometer not cheap gauges that are on the market on the market again this is a option replaced by standard items
Original VW Corrado mats
Off course first aid kit there
Heater matrix been done.
Has a Clifford 300 alarm and I’ve got the certificate *update* brand new one as old one fried itself so has brand new alarm now
As you can see the car been well looked after all I’ve done is hover the inside and zymold washed the outside, yes my car gets treated to zymold products only but don’t get me wrong this is not one of these fancy cars u see in the scene that they build to just show this gets driven and gets used like a normal car.
So why as I getting rid of it after doing all the servicing and Recon charger, basically comes down to, I now feel that I’ve done everything I could have done with the car and its been great last 5 years but think its time for me to move on and instead of selling a complete shed of a Corrado on to someone I rather they got one they would be happy with.
So after all this there has to be a few things that not mint or perfect, yes you’re right first off all the front leather seats are showing their age and ill let the new owner decided if he wants to re-tint them and yes it can be done professionally and well if that’s not for u can get it re-trimmed. Also I have the heated loom and switch just not plugged in as I’ve never seen the point putting in as it will crack the leather and my heaters work amazingly but I don’t think that’s a negative point.
Then the front bumper has got scraps on the bottom due to speed humps in London, but then if that bothers u because u can see it unless you’re under the car well I don’t think this car is for you.
