Side exit exhaust

Just been clearing through my Golf stuff in the garage and came accross my stainless side exit system for the S2.

Bolts straight to the downpipe on the 3B, not sure if its the same as a ABY. Exits just by the rear drivers side wheel. Was custom made on the 16/6/05 with reciept to prove.

Why did you take it off? I'd like to shorten the pipe on my 3B. Been thinking about a side exit, but issues with noise and speed humps has put me off so far.

Who fabricated the pipe?

I took the system off when i sold the car as Ross wanted to maintain the stock look etc. Yeah its quite loud. Pipe was made by a powerflow dealer who has since made my full system and downpipe for my Golf.

I asked Chris to remove the pipe as it it was very loud, and I live down a lane with potholes like moon craters. I was worried I'd tear it off. And I preferred the look of a rear-exit but that's just taste really. If you don't mind a loud car (and bear in mind this is a meaty, sporty loud rather than boyracer loud) and like the side exit - i'd recommend patching the hole in the rear bumper - then it's a good one.

Yeah Bry, the stealth one. Not sure about track noise level or MOT, but i can't see a problem for the mot.
