      Surely that's a tad pricey for a risky RS2?
I'd be tempted if the bidding started at half that seeing as it's in my neck of the woods.
Then again, I expect I'd be up against the Mighty Bry

That is very pricey for a car in that condition. Still it would certainly make a nice project for someone with the time, money and space to do it.

Don't think it will sell at that price though

That is a lot of wedge but it depends on what the problems are. A mint one with 104k is worth about £13-14k? That leaves £3k-4k to spend on sorting it before you're properly out of pocket. If the service history can be verified it would look better again.

Having said all that though, I wouldn't touch it!

An interesting project I can assure you. Have'nt got time to list all the problems but he did'nt have the documents never mind service history.

Have the chassis number if anybody is interested.

Did give me the opportunity to test one out and found that even a shed is a lot of fun!

By the way, am looking for any good example , cash under my pillow for the right one, has to be right hand drive.

                Sal. It is.
I was considering buying that last year. It had been sitting there while the bloke was trying to sort out what to do with the gearbox.Think he actually posted on here wanting a gearbox.
I phoned up AMD to get the lowdown on what the car was like - it was one of the mechanics there - swapped it for an Integrale. He said it was , how can I put it, an RS2, but that it had been "driven"........

It's definitely not the AMD one... I've talked to both owners and they sound different plus one's called Dave and the other Shiraz!

The one that Sal/I was on about was a mechanics (Andy/Neil -can't remember who now) It was also for sale 2 years ago at GTI International on the AMD stand. AFAIK, there was an issue with the gearbox, hence why it was off the road for a bit.....until the current seller sorted it.

The one that Bry referrs too was also AMD's but belonged to one of the partners - Adam. He was planning to build a 500-600 Bhp/nos machine out of it apparently, but got as far as he did and left it sitting at the workshop, then his barn.......

Don't know what the story is behind the other green one that needs its brakes sorting......

So the one at the start of the thread in West Yorkshire is of unknown provenance?
