So the block is at it's limit on 3rd over size?, if there is ever any more bore wear the block is no good? Or it's custom pistons

Don't you mean the 10v version?

What life has the engine had, has it had regular oil changes, if so what interval and with what oil?

I bought the engine last year from a chap in harlow who was an audi enthusiast and ashored me that the engine had been well looked after and the only reason for sale was that the audi 200 tresser the engine was in had a bent chassis.
All I have changed on the engine is the head gasket (10vt), cambelt and head studs.
Parts for sale include inlet manifold, exhaust manifold, complete engine without turbo.

I ran the motor for about 400 miles and the engine sounded sweet and had no problems,the only reason i did not keep the car running was because of the audi s2 avant i bought :mischeif:
Im not expecting a alot of money for the engine as i need to get rid of it because of the space it is taking up, if i wanted to make money on the sale i would have put it on ebay and probably of got a handsome price for it, i just thought it might be of some use to someone on the forum.
I have not got my camera at home so i will have to post some pics tomorrow.

this engine had oil changes every 6000 miles before and after the rebuild, wouldnt of thought bore wear would be a problem as i can remeber seeing clear hatching marks and ran very well in the 200 tresser. reason for removal was that some burk tried lifting the car with steel rope, wich was put throught the drivers and passengers doors and then lifted with a tractor.
give me a day and i can find the duration of the cams, but im at work and il have to search through my receipts!
