US spec rear lights for sale

Hey folks,

I have been buying spares from a chap in the US who is breaks CQ's and one of the items of interest is the US spec rear lights. They are expensive, working out at around the £85-90 mark including shipping to the UK.

If anyone is interested, then I will happily pass on the sellers details and let you buy direct (he accepts Paypal) as I am not interested in trying to make a profit.

Err, dunno

I am sure that it would be available but I hadn't discussed that with him. As far as I know, the lights are a straight swap for the UK spec ones, the centre section has the same outer dimensions, but a smaller opening for the number plate

Yup, was gonna have both sets, one for me and one for another forum member, but he sold them whilst I was away on business. I have now spent over £1000 this month on goodies so decided that I didn't really need the lights. Since I am no longer having them, I thought I would try and drum up a new buyer for him.

This is likely to be correct is using a standard bulb, although there are rumours that a coloured bulb (someone suggested green) could make them flash orange

My question would be, how do yank cars get away with flashing red brake lights as indicators on UK roads

Any American guys on here got the Coupe tailights with the red "bars" across the white reverse area? I've never seen a pic of these close up only the white bars. I've seen the pic Martin posted before although it's not the clearest.

@HPmuirt, yep a green filter should work if you think back to your school days and how the colour wheel works.
