    1996 ABY S2 with 95k - For Sale.

    Hi,

Guys, after 7 good years, its time for my car to find a new home

    S8 18" Avus wheels, fully refurbed like new, with 225/40/18 F1 tyres - £1200
    Custom 20mm Spacers & Wheel bolts - £200
    Custom Wheel centres - £100
Porsche Calipers (custon machined with Audi rings), & S8 Front discs - £500
Braided front brake lines - £50
Audi A6 Xenon lights ballast/bulbs modified to fit S2 (not cheap kit) - £500
    Headlight recoat - £100
    Koni adjustable struts, & H&R -40mm springs - £600
New wishbone bushes (standard) - £150
Apline Head with 12 cd changer & r/c, Alpine 5 channel amp, JBL f & r speakers, Rockford Fosgate Bass Tube - £1000.

Oh, & I had to pay the labour (total approx £800) to a garage owning mate to fit all of the above.

The above mods were all fitted days before the Billing meet last year, & since then I have only done 2000 miles in the car !!!

The spec of the car is:

2 months remaining on the MOT
    2 months Tax
    HPI Clear.
    1996 on an N plate (N31 FFA)
96K miles (Cambelt done at 70K, major service - 2K miles ago)
RS2 electric Black Leather Recaro seats (Factory fit).
A/c (Please see 'Known Problems' below)
    Carbon Pack
    ABY engine (totally standard)
    Cruise
Elec windows (new drivers side motor fitted 6 months ago).

    Known Problems :
I need to replace a leaking air-con pipe, & sort out a scuff on the rear bumper, & will put a new MOT if anyone is interested.
The rear of the front seats have 25mm scratches, where I was transporting a table
The Outside temp gauge illumination is out
One of the bulbs behind the speedo is out
Boot lock will only work using key, will try & sort this out.

    Thats it !!

I am not gonna say that this car is perfect, but I can put my hand on my heart & say that for a 10 year old car, she is possibly one of the best examples around, & pulls, & drives like a dream.

I have cared for this car like one of my kids, for the last 7 years. This is why its been so hard for me to let her go, but needs must, as my family now includes 3 kids, 2 other cars, & my van

Its hard to talk prices, but I am sure you guys know what you are looking for in an S2, & I can assure you, mine has everything.

You can PM me, if you are interested, & would like to view the car. If you require any particular pics, please let me know.

I have had serious interest from a UR Owner from Gloucester who wants the car (I did not ask for a deposit), pending MOT, & aircon work completion. I am a man or my word, & will be giving him first refusal.

    Regards

    Imran.

            Guys,

Sold my car to Ross. Just gonna MOT it, sort out the air con, & its away on Saturday . Every day with the S2 was a pleasure, I remember the day I picked her up 7 years ago like it was an hour ago

Still, I will be happy in the knowledge that Ross will care for her like I did.
I am now on the lookout for an RS4 (Mk 1), I need the boot, the SAT Nav, the awesome power & something to cherish for the next 7 years . I will let you guys know how I get on.

            Thanks for all the help.

            Imran.

Not this one... must admit, that would be really nice for my daily driver and keep 'the beast' for weekends

Hold on! Are you saying you would have a 3B as the beast and the ABY for a daily driver?

                      (How's the rad btw?)

                      Cheers

....unless someone bought me a surprise early christmas present?

OK perhaps that's a bit hopeful. On the rad front, erm, the car is in the garage. My temp fix didn't hold as long as I'd have liked... bring on the diesel Mk.4 golf and 58mpg for the next 2 weeks... it'll make me humble and sort out my bad driving attitude. I'm trying to have a positive outlook on this situation. And the money I'll save on fuel might pay a good chunk of the costs!

Good news is, when it comes back it'll be MOT-passed for the next 12 months, with a new radiator, and let's just say I'll need to take it easy for the first month of driving
