91 3B for sale.
Time to face up to the fact that it's not really economical for me to try and keep 2 S2's any longer. Due to purchasing an avant from another forum member a few months ago, my poor old coupe's not really got a look in since. Finished in pearl blue with black heated leather and A/C and pre select glass S/R. Currently sat on 17" BBS RK's with toyos, but I do have some 16" 6 spoke avus if somebody want's it a bit cheaper. Owned since dec 03 with 3 previous keepers and a fully stamped up SH (last one was a 20k at dialynx at 142,000 miles.) stacks of receipts including original bill of sale. Not immaculate condition, but for a car of it's age it's very presentable and I can honestly say it's never let me down in 3 years (and I'm not shy with it either :mischeif: ). Since owning it I've had the pleasure of it needing a few new parts, these include....
New steering rack (now non servo)
blue top mounts all round
fr & rr wishbone bushes
H&R springs
alloy subframe mounts fr&rr
de-catted
WGFV
S3 dv
All new turbo hoses
Mark H mod
clear fr and side indicators
the amazingly expensive and impossible to change breather hose (my hands still hurt)
new lower door trims
and probably more that I've forgotten about.
After driving my avant, I will say that I think the coupe would benefit from some stiffer ARB's and some new shox. There is a few niggly things that could do with being looked at, after being stood in my garage for 2 months (fired up 1st time
) but now the rad fan runs constantly and i've noticed there is a slight oil leak from somewhere
. I will look at these faults and if they are easily remedied I will sort them out.
145k, mot till march 07, taxed till dec 06.
May take a nice brake upgrade for my avant in p/x
I'm no good with computers so can't do the photo thing
Would appreciate other peoples opinions on what they think it's worth, but I will just say I'm open to sensible offers and if it was on autotrader at the moment, it would be the cheapest.
