    CrMo flywheel (s2 3b)

Made from billet Crmo, chromium-molybdenum steel.
It is copy 3B S2 flywheel, and it weights 7.0kg
It is manufactured in PO-Metal Finland, usually known from very good conrods.

It's copy of 01a or 012 family flywheel from 3b engine in 1991 S2 coupe

It is replacement for the dualmass flywheel from all 01e family gearboxes
    (S2 aby, S4, S6, S4-2.7bt, urRS4, various diesel 2wd+4wd, list goes on)

Factory timing sensor pickup is only the one starting revolution sensor stub so
only I5 engines can use this with motronic. How the diesel work, I dont know.

Price: 300e + postage NOT including starter ring. (to UK roughly 34eur)
I got a couple of these.

You can buy that from a dealer or use old one from any 240mm flywheel pre-dualmass (all 10V n/a+turbo, 20v n/a+turbo)

ps. Paypal accepted but please contact seller for terms and conditions.

I've Been reading up on rotational masses recently, this website has some great information. The sections on lightening flywheels and tuning turbo engines are informative. http://www.pumaracing.co.uk

The link to http://www.sdsefi.com/tech.html is worth following too

Looked very nice yesterday. Also about ~1 kg lighter than the stock 3B A200 flywheel.

Yes, I have couple of these, I took the risk of making a few to get single item cost lower and manufactured faster, these machinists that know what they are doing, seem to be very occupied.

SteveH: very good links good reading

Making dualmass to crmo swap on aby/aan 13kg(?) -> 7kg, according to Pumaracing thats over 230kg on 1st gear, it's huge difference.

                  diesels

Diesels use the 3rd injector for point of injection (timing), by a piezo sensor (knock sensor)

That is a nice flywheel very similar to the rally cars flywheel, they were even lighter.
I have one here and I will post a picture of it later.

                              Sorry for late answer.
Yes all are sold, all went last summer quite fast and I forgot all about the add, and I made second batch order in winter and last of that batch was sold to forum member and as we speak it is in delivery to UK. I don't know is eu post scandded any seetrough machines, but if they are, I want to see the postman pate's face when he try to scan it and thinks why on earth somebody sends 7kg lump of steel over post.

When I collected the flywheels I queried would he like to make more, he makes conrods for living and this is side job, and he was not sure the time table, it is months several of them, and as we talked he pulled out an 1.8T dualmass replacement, and he had made the starterring straigh to the cromo billet wheel, it was sweeeeet, and now he has program for the teeth, so it is no problem to integrate it to I5 flywheel.. It adds 100-150 euros for the price but the orginal ring is not cheap either, usually people use old rings from theyr orginal wheels, but If I've to make new order they would be with billet starter rings, but I would need atleast 4-5 solid orders, So I think there is not gonna be that kind of interest, but if interest level rises, let me know.
