What were you looking to buy from Tobias? AKA Tots.ch
The only advice from my limited experience is to email tots in German on alles@audi-gebrauchtteile.ch as you may not hear from him otherwise. As I do not speak German and he does not speak English I found emailing using the latest version of outlook VERY helpful.
1). Write email in English
2). Go to the tools menu, lanuguage and translate option
3). Select American (tsch, tsch) translate to German, press go
4). Wait for the website to pop up with the translation, copy and paste
translated version into email and send, along with English text below.
I always found he responded within a day or two, and even had a go at replying in English! Otherwise you can again follow translate option as above!
Also, you can get google to translate his website too if you're having trouble browsing around.

Hi!
I have just had a similiar discussion today with another Forum member. Would it be possible to post a sort of introduction in German for those who wish to try and open a dialogue with German ebayers. My schoolboy attempts are probably more offensive than just assuming they speak English! Something along the lines of:
Hello (Hallo)
I am interested in your item but live in the UK. Are you prepared to allow my bids and if I win the auction to send to the UK?
My German is not very good, do you speak English?
Obviously if they do speak English thats a bonus. Otherwise you will be bombarded with requests for translation.
Appreciate it!
cheers bo i have sent him a email to this address ... alles@audi-gebrauchtteile.ch
