exactly but if its been maintained and there is a bundle of receipts to prove then mileage isn't a worry, my S2 is 174,000 miles old and to be honest I don't think I have ever had it running as well.

Hahahah - thinking of Dave sitting at work with a spreadsheet open right now doing the math

Tis a very tempting price - IF the history is good and nothing major requires immediate attention. I do still have the occasional wobbly moment and aspire to an RS-Blue one but I just can't do it financially - nor do I have the space and time to work on it

they are all issues for me too but in theory i get more power, an icon and with a child too, more practicality - if i can focus on those elements then....

                      Just go for it.

At least you know what you are getting yourself into and all being well there wont be any serious surprises.

Once sorted, it won't be any more expensive to run than your S2 (bumper replacement aside). Any way you could probably swap out the good bits from your S2 before you sell it, including your 996 brakes

Hehe, the amount I've spent on my car I coulda bought this and sold my car to make up the difference!

But then, I'd rather have an RS2 Coupe at the moment

I see the car is down in Yeovil - I was there on monday, coulda checked it out! If it's up for auction tomorrow, might wanna a. Show some interest and get them to hold it or b. find out where the hell it is being held!
