1996 ABY S2 Coupe for sale

    Hi all,
I'm selling my S2 after just over 3 years ownership. It's never let me down and is the best car I'll ever own, but my needs have changed. We've just moved to a farm and I need something that can carry hay, chicken feed etc, so I'm on the look out for an estate or possibly land rover etc. I'm in no great rush so thought I would post it here for a couple of weeks and then think about ebay/autotrader. What would people recommend - with all the timewasters out there I'm put off selling it through ebay. Any BTDT?
For those interested, PM me for my number or any questions, or any more photos.
It's a 1996 coupe in Laser Red. I'm the 3rd owner. It has done 160K miles, mainly motorway miles. Runs perfectly, engine, gearbox and clutch all how they should be.
It comes with carbon trim, dark grey cloth interior, and the tinted pre-select glass sunroof.
It has FASH up until me, since it has been serviced by independent Audi specialist.
It is standard except for a few minor mods: Paul N homefry, RS2 FARB & Whiteline RARB, and bigger front brakes. I've got the HID kit, but not fitted yet.
Condition is very good both inside and out - to be perfect it probably could benefit from new front wings. I had them professionally treated and re-sprayed but they are starting to bubble through again.
I've just had new dampers, springs, top mounts and bushes all round (3 months) so it drives like a new car. Also just had stainless cat-back Milltek exhaust fitted. Cambelt was done at 140K so all the big jobs are out of the way.
Has 9 months MOT and is just about to be re-taxed for 12 months.
This is a great example of a late coupe. Very reliable to me, and will come with no known faults. Is booked into garage for a small water leak and having new front pads.
    PM me if interested.
    Thanks

Forgot price - I'm looking for around £6,500 although may be slightly negotiable

Last photo - and by the way - it's a brilliant red colour - not orange like it looks in this last photo

Try www.pistonheads.com too, is a good (free) way to sell your car.

          Looks nice and I think £6 - £6.5k is a good figure...

          Cheers,

Ebay was a waste of time for me.

Car sounds and looks nice and the mods make it worth £6k-£6.5k at Fatty said. Good luck with the sale

Hope no-one minds if I just bump this up to see if anybody from this forum is looking for a coupe.
I've had a couple of queries but nothing too serious yet (it is on pistonheads also).
Thought I would see if I can find it a good home before putting it on ebay early next week - and if that doesn't sell, then autotrader.
Just been re-taxed and is booked into garage for leak sorting.
                Cheers

Would you sell the hid kit?

I'm holding fire with the HID kit until I find out whether it will sell with the car - but if not then I'll sell it separately - but I think I may already have a first refusal on that. Will keep you posted though

I'm having a bit of difficulty selling this. I thought I had sold it on ebay but apparantly not - also can't beleive the price didn't go any higher - this is a great example - but I do need a different car now, so have priced it to sell. it is on ebay again, for 3 days this time, as I am losing faith in ebay for selling cars, and also on Pistonheads - with a price of £5300. Negotiable to forum members (although not too much I add as I can't help feel I'm giving it away at this price). For more info, please contact me.

Still for sale. Open to offers. Ebay seems to be a complete waste of time, so will aim to put it in autotrader soon. Any info needed, please let me know. Everything works perfectly, and have had front wings re-sprayed again since.

                            Now sold.
Maybe a new member joining? I've pointed him in this direction.
Thanks to all those that have offered advice and knowledge in the 3 years I've owned the car. The best car I'll ever own - but no point in looking back. Cheers all. Keep enjoying yours.
