thats not a bad price at all especially given the mileage - someone will snap it up - there was one down in the west country the other week with 178k on it, same colour, was sold over the phone for £6995.......

Maybe he's just looked at pure book price for it rather than adding a bit of weight for a rare/appreciating classic

It might not be a 5 pot or an S2... but at least I have a 20v Turbo in my life again.

            Sold already.
It is cheap if it is genuinely straight and not mucked around with. I remain sceptical however with the rings on the bottom of the doors and the badges stuck on beneath the indicators. Hardly OEM........

i agree with you Dean - that's why it didn't even tempt me to be honest. Been to see far too many RS2s with "complicated" histories

Its not the first i've seen with those four rings on the doors though, although all the others have been LHD. Its always been under the Lacquer, too, so i woonder if some of the Audi show cars had them on?? Not convinced by the extra RS2 badges, though , as you said.

Still, if its genuine, someone has picked up a bargain. Lets see if it goes on sale again in a few days time on the 'Trader or fleabay for an 8 grand mark-up......

This car ( the silver one ) is now in the hands of a forum member, I've been out in it today and it's niiiice It's fast but the thing that impressed me most was the handling, way better than any S2 I've ever been in. I wish I could get mine to go round corners like this

Genuine car with no complications, badges on wing and 4 rings have now been removed, and if I tell you how much he got it for you'll all be really sick!
