    Bit strong for a non original engined car, maybe if it was a 1990 original 20v.

    Some more info in the listing may help ie who did the engine swap etc etc..

          Cheers Pete and your right of course!
          That coversion is also on the 'trader for £19K!, which is a more than a bit strong for a conversion!

          My car is still available guys. I don't really want to sell her, but I reckon I'll be after another (If I can find one!) if/when circumstances allow.

                I can never work out how much a mint UR Quattro is worth probably because of there being so many Dogs out there. I paid 6750 for my 1983 WR Quattro but that has had a full respray and engine rebuild and receipts totalling about 10-15k. Now i would hope my quattro is worth more than what i paid for it but u see ones on ebay going for 4-5k so im not sure. I think there needs to be some clarification somewhere on what these cars are worth.

                  Don't rely too much on ebay prices Steve, they usually go for a lot less on there and most are frankly pretty sub-standard examples on the whole.
                  Its hard to pinpoint prices really, but I'd say as a rough guide;
                  A really top example of a WR with minimal mileage could reach £10K+, an MB in the same condition could fetch £13K+ and the RR anything up to £20K+.

                  Cars that fall into the 'average' category and would sell for half those prices.
                  But they are all steadily on the up!

                    When u say minimal mileage mine has 96k on it now, but it has had an engine rebuild does that fall into that bracket?

                      Well I'd say it would certainly be worth more than if it hadn't been done. Though some bearing is placed on exactly what was done and by whom.
                      Was it your car that was featured in Practical Classics a while back Steve?

                        The car was featured in AudiDriver, it has a full RS2 spec'ed engine and box, so the article says and yes it was performed by QST, they transplanted a full 20v loom and interior into the car.
                        When the conversion was done it was still using the original brakes but now it seems they have converted to something better.

                          Still a bit strong imo, hope it was one of Kims better conversions.

                          Good clean original cars are currently very collectable. Non original do struggle.

                            No mate not mine. All the work has been done by QST. It used to be owned by one of Kims mates. His yellow UR was posted on here a while back. The work has been carried out to the highest standard. The reason i ask is because i want to know what to insure it for.
