I need a couple of cats for my 95 ABY S2 Coupe in order to get through the MOT next month, the current ones have disintegrated.
If anyone has a couple of second hand in good condition or knows where I can get some I would appreciate it.
Cheers
Kris

It might not be a 5 pot or an S2... but at least I have a 20v Turbo in my life again.
Sorry, this should be in "wanted", could mods please move as appropriate. Cheers.

I have a pair you can borrow FOC if you can come and get them. Didcot or Bracknell.... (Mine are sat in the garage waiting for MOT time. It passed with them last time).

Cheers Steve, am really looking for a permanant replacement, however if I can't get anything I may take you up on your offer.
Thanks

How does that work dude? Do you just slap them on for the test then put cat bypass pipes back on afterwards? Do you notice any difference? Was thinking of doing this too.

Yes. That normally does the trick. The cats don't wear out when they're sat in the garage.
A better idea is to get an old 3B, leave the cats off and still pass the MOT.

Yeh easy for you guys.
I want to know how Rotoryboy, S2avant and Tekkno got the S2 through MOT's without cats
@ Crawford. You can really feel the difference with the Cats off. Smoother pickup and more ooommphh on boost, oh and a more meaty exhaust note with a little popping.
IMO its worth the coupe of hours effort to put them on for the MOT and then take them off again. My only problem is my MOT is January so if you have to swap them outside its bloody cold!
As for MOT test, my local place can't get my AMD remapped ABY to pass the emissions test without cats fitted.... This has been discussed at much length elsewhere...

Steve
