It might not be a 5 pot or an S2... but at least I have a 20v Turbo in my life again.Comment

I'm not entirely convinced that this is an original Audi car.
I'm well familiar with the Nordic Audi article, which states that this is a one of a kind Audi prototype for a "long wheelbase Sportquattro". The car obviously has a lot of genuine SQ parts, but if you look closely at the engine compartment if differs quite a lot from a real Sport.
The car has a standard UR radiator, also the intercooler and IC bracket doesn't seem to be genuine parts. The camcover with MTM logo looks like it's from a 7A engine. The car is also missing a lot of the SQ's front end strengthening, like strut tower bar etc. A picture of the underbody would likely reveal more.
So, either Audi made a somewhat poor prototype(perhaps only for body design purposes), or this is simply a very nice looking replica car made by someone else. Anyone seriously considering this car should check out the chassis number, and contact MTM for the story behind. Clearly they've done some work on it, or perhaps they're the ones who made it?
I came across this picture album with some interesting pictures(scroll down to "MTM visit")
Don't get me wrong, I love this car
But can't help but wonder, that if Audi did make this one-off prototype, wouldn't it be in a museum today?
