18" Avus alloys for sale

Greetings,

I have a set of 4 x 18" Avus alloys for sale, due to the imminent acquisition of a replacement set (when a certain forum member gets of his 4rse and sells them to me...HINT HINT )

They are not mint: 2 have been curbed across the spokes and therefore need repainting, the other 2 are OK. They come with the correct centres and are wearing the wrong boots, but they can be removed as I am storing them at my mates garage

I think I bought them for a little over the odds, so not quite sure what they are truely worth so PM with offers if interested. Will upload pics if required (when I find the correct USB lead

Wheel 4 has similar curbing damage to Wheel 2 and so both need painting, but they are not scored. All 4 wheels have some rim scuffing.

I paid well over £300 for them and am looking to recoup most of my money as the replacements are more expensive

I have now checked the 4th wheel and realised that it is fine and therefore only 1 of the 4 wheels (shown above) has the curb scratches....dunno why i thought it was also scratched

Had 2 tentative offers for these, but still not actually managed to convince either of them to part with the cash.

I really would like to sell them at Combe to save the hassle of shipping, but if no takers then I will be forced to learn how to sell via eBay

Hi Greg,

I was planning on removing the tyres as they are the ones that came with the wheels (245's I think) and hence I am told will not fit under our arches.

They do however come with centres (although a couple are scratched)

Well I am confused....

I searched for ages to acquire a set of these wheels but cannot give them away now that I have an alternative

I have had 3 offers (and loads of enquiries) from the forum, but 1 thought they were the early type, 1 needs to sell his wheels before he will commit and 1 wanted them but has now dropped out for some reason.

I am at Combe on Saturday, but am collecting my new wheels, so cannot bring these unless I know I will sell them. Please don't make me eBay them, I hate eBay and have never sold anything on there (hence the bursting loft )

Will throw in a cold beer (or diet coke for the drivers)
