For 45k I could build four of the Ersatz RS2s

The listing person kant spel two gud so maybe the 45K is a typo. (Maybe).

Obviously, if you know what you are doing, you can put together an E//S2 for much much less.

On his/her side, you need to remember that we (Canada and the US) in North America didn't get any S2s or RS2s. So getting parts is not easy and there may be a perception that the market demand is there to allow him/her a good return on the "investment".

That's Janus Krauklis' car, and yes, you CAN spend that kind of money over in the states putting together an eS2, especially if you have to pay top dollar for parts ;-)...

Having a working Aircon in a conversion is a rarity - most folks skip that ...he also replumbed all the gas lines to and from the tank!

BTW the car can spin all 4 tires in the first 2 gears...
