  • Hoffer hybrid RS2 Turbo, Need's rebuild.

P1010002.JPG Hoffer K24 7200 in need of rebuild. 350 quid, I was as saving this for my B3 project as a running in turbo but as I no longer have the ECU it can go.

I also have an original, genuine KKK K24 7200 turbine wheel/shaft assembly in excellent condition that I'd like £100 for, a decent turbo shop cold have a K24 hotside machined out to suit the turbine in no time. You could then have a genuine K24 7200.

I can also supply a crack free K24 turbine housing for £50

Please feel free to ask questions and negotiate.

As I've erased the pic here's the eBay listing for the OE shaft

Yeah I would want to buy one in working order because I wouldn’t know where to take it. I’m looking for around 400bhp. If you can get it rebuilt we could do a deal?

As I said in my PM Turbodynamics in Christchurch are the best value when it comes to KKK Turbo's, AET are also very, very good but know how to charge, it kind of depends where you are in the country and both will offer a full years warranty.

For 400 BHP this hybrid would be about perfect, what software do you plan on using? Or a stock RS2 K24 7200 would do the job with a billet wheel.

I could build it up myself, I have all the parts in stock apart from a decent quality bearing/seal kit with a 360 thrust bearing, I'd have to shop out the balancing. But I've built up several K24's and K24 7400's which are running nicely after a couple of years.

I'm guessing your on a budget and don't want to spend any more than required?

Wouldn’t say I’m on a budget as I’ve spent thousands on my car in past few years. Just get paid monthly which sucks. Planning getting a vems ecu and bigger injectors. If u can hold it for me I’d definitely do a buy at the end of the month. Cheers, Howard.

              Evening Howard,

The money just evaporates with these cars mate, BTDT!!!

I thought Maxx ECU was the one to go for these days?

I can probably hold it though I do have a fair amount of interest in it.

For £650 I could build you a K26/7 that'll do 450 BHP, more again if your were splash out on a billet comp wheel.

Have you opened your engine for rods etc???

LOL, I'm in a similar boat an am in the process of building a high powered B3 Saloon to show my mates who's spent an unrepeatable amount of money on his RS2 that thing can be done for far less. I'll try and hold it until the end of the month for you as it's only eight days away.

Took the turbine housing off to clean it last week and discovered a tiny crack in the # 6 housing, it's stable and been there for a long time so really don't think it's an issue, have tried to photograph it and it's so fine (hairline) that it doesn't show.
