Do these actually fit the S2. I saw a post on here that mentioned the top thread was wrong?

Yeah i read that too and therefore ended up buying 2 sets of Bilsteins. The sprints and the sports.

The thread size was the same on BOTH pairs. Also the Bistein catalog clearly states that they are for the S2. That in mind i never actually tried fitting them

Anybody know what the difference are between Bilstein SPORT and SPRINT flavoured dampers - just curious really... Is one markedly harder than the other or what ?

D'oh just googled it and found it from

The damper spec is the same, but the Sprints are configured to provide reduced ride height - with shorter springs presumably !

                paul:

correct...valving is the same....to confuse matters, here in the states, the "sport" is called the HD (heavy duty) meant for stock springs, the "sprint" is called "sport", meant for lowering springs ( shorter height)

Front shocks are different between a CQ20v and S2, but they are listed as fitting both

Bilsteins online catalogue is wrong BTDT

The S2 need M55 fronts Standard Coupe is M52 fronts

There isn't a sprint shock that fits the S2 you must use the Sport front (works fine)

                    In summary for lowering springs:

S2 Bilsteins are: Front - PE3-3086 Rear - P36-3058 (If using standard ride height springs use P30-3017 rears )

                    Non S2 Coupe: Front - P30-3006 Rear: - P36-3058
