Rob, one of the seals is weeping so I may aswell change all 3, and I want him to check the preload and reset it if needed. Btw Andy doesnt know hes doing it yet
But yes, I'm sure he'll be up for it. He's successfully rebuilt them before

The propshaft seal is leaking on my diff. I did the driveshaft seals a few years ago. Do you recon Andy would do mine too? Not seen him on here for a while.

When you say 'them', I've done ONE!!

It did hold up to 800bhp though

Hey Andy, What's involved in removing/reinstalling the input flange on the diff? I didn't want to attempt it without understanding how to put it back together with the correct torque/preload. Any pointers?

I know how to do it when rebuilding it from scratch, this involves measuring rotational drag, not torqueing the nut, but I'm unsure of the procedure when you're just replacing the seal, I've had a quick look through the manual and can't see anything.

Thanks mate. As I wasn't sure I put it back and left the original seal on it. It's now apparent that was the one which was leaking so I'll need to address it. I guess I could mark the position of the nut and try to get it back in the same location or even a little tighter to make up for wear.

This is what me and neil (pixy) did on an s2 diff a couple of years back, marked the postion of the nut and refitted
