Sorry guys, but that looks fantastic - perfect retro mods.
Looks just how I would expect a money no object Golf to look in '79...
        Timewarp-tastic!

As for the price - if it's as mint as it appears with genuine mileage, then maybe, just maybe...

Don't get me wrong, it probably took some doing, i mean he must have taken it to every trimmer in the country before someone actually agreed to do that sick interior

That car is a classic example of why you should keep the mods subtle, it may have been all the rage at some point (although i suspect only in the previous owners head ) But now it looks so much more dated than the origional.

If this fetches 7.5k i need to speak to the buyer, i have loads of invisible 'emporor' clothing he would be interested in

That looks the shizzle, shame about the interior, mind you on the upside you could play chess on a long journey.

Know why its so low mileage though, cos the owner spent all his folding getting it to look like that then woke up and thought, JEREMY! I AM NOT DRIVING THAT THING! Wonder what he chopped it in for, white capri with a whale tail perhaps

Same kit as mine, mine has standard seats and is dropped onto H&R springs.

                  Here's my take on it.

Yep the mods are ugly, even if they are period ones. The car does look mint, but if it was a standard car that good, I suspect it would fetch even more.

I suspect it will go for the asking, just so that someone can try and win the concours comp at Inters this year!

                  Cheers,

                  Steve.

I expect the inspiration for the seats come from a Ferrari Daytona:
                          10011c.jpg
Very period, but I admit the retrim would be better in a more subtle colour!

It's close but not quite there. Ferrari inspired seats or not, the interior isn't particularly pleasant.

Exterior is nearly spot on, is that a Zender / Kamei / other kit? I love the factory BBS kit, convinced a mate to keep it on a resto project and he never regretted it! (nor the 150bhp 2.0 8v!)

Bry, perhaps twin DTMs will make a retro come-back! They were once (as Jamo so eloquently put it) the schizzle!
