ABY Coupe - sunroof parts needed

    Hi All
My 96 coupe is in for new headlining. Predictably though, we have encountered an issue with the glass roof. The cassette is rusted and has blown out. I am after a good condition cassette. But, I want to swap the glass out for a metal roof. I dont know how different the assembly is for glass versus metal or what's involved to be honest. But I do need some help sourcing the right parts - probably the whole assembly.

I also need a new overhead control panel (for the sunroof) in black (think its actually dark grey) as the existing ones clips were all broken and someone very helpfully used have a hacksaw blade superglued to the panel to wedge it it in.

As always, thank you to the experts on here handing out advice, to which the non contributors (and in my case totally hopeless technically) really appreciate.

I've sent you a pm. I was surprised to find the cartridge is on offer at AT.

I have one of these new cassettes which I could part with. They're tricky to ship though so collection from OX15 would be ideal. I can order another to replace next time I order

        Hello Jamie,

If by chance you will be swapping to a metal roof and your glass unit is still in a usable condition, I would be very interested in purchasing it as I am trying to refresh my own glass roof.

I've just repaired my sunroof control panel due to the clips breaking off. They were only plastic welded from the factory on two small spots each side. If you have the clips you can glue them back on with a decent two part plastic adhesive. I bet they are missing though if a hacksaw blade has been used to replace them

            Hi All.
Rynaqui, I dont think the glass is repairable actually, albeit as its easier I am now going to stick with glass instead of metal.

SteveH - yep, clips are broken. Im hoping a standard coupe panel will turn up at some stage!
